Why we do what we do

In Norway we have an ongoing debate of how to provide more electric power in order to cover a profoundly increasing demand for energy.

• The use of fossile energy can affect the climate.
• The use of nuclear power can affect our genetic material.
• More hydro plants will ruin the nature.

The I-BOX has been built in order to illustrate that we with the present technology can reduce the energy-demand for housing, and eventually public buildings as well, to 1/5 of the consumption we have today.

A superinsulated building can give us new problems, like mold- and allergy problems. Therefore we have constructed a new and simple way of solving these problems.

I-BOX is our answer to the challenge of making a building out of ecological and healthy materials, with a good indoor climate, maximal comfort and a minimal energy-demand, as well as a low maintenance-demand.
