The new Fish Market in Tromsø

The municipality of Tromsø together with strong forces within business and development and research institutions are these days piloting/developing a new national/international fishmarked/seafooodcenter at the seafront of the city of Tromsø. This arena intends to be a showcase to the rest of the world.
The municipality wants to develop a clever and unique concept that brings local and regional freshest seafood, fruit and vegetables and retail specialists together on one site, amongst gourmet restaurants, aquarium and exhibition areas. Where you can see, taste, buy and have fun…….
We are also planning to have a gourmet cook school for future Norwegian gourmet chefs.
This arena should be able to be your favourite spot for the changing faces of people, families, friends, tourists, office workers, educational tour groups and retirees, who all should have our chance to enjoy the “theatre”, while waiting for the catch of the day being transferred from the fishing vessel to the local fishmarket.
